Hoje estamos saindo para nosso Retiro anual !!!!
Nossa Igreja, Igreja Batista em Planalto Paulista, tem realizado retiros hea mais de 10 anos e cada ano é uma bencnao maior que o anterior. Sabemos de antemão que, trirando toda a parte de descanso, brincadeiras, comunhão, e etc... teremos dias maravilhosos na presença de Nosso Pai Celestial e aprenderemos muito sobre a Sua vontade para nossas vidas.
Este ano vamos para um local novo e um dos melhores que já fomos, Pousada Vale dos Eucapiltos , em Piedae, a 100 km de São Paulo, um lugar lindissimo.
Aguardemos as fotos na volta e que cada um de nós possa aprender muito nesses dias.

MORRE O COMPOSITOR GIAN CARLO MENOTTI

O compositor de óperas italiano Gian Carlo Menotti morreu anteontem, num hospital de Mônaco, aos 95. Menotti recebeu prêmios Pulitzer, nos Estados Unidos, por suas óperas "The Consul" e "The Saint of Bleecker Street". "Ele apresentou a ópera a toda uma geração de americanos", disse sobre Menotti o administrador do Metropolitan Opera de Nova York, Peter Gelb. Em 1976, o jornal "The New York Times" afirmou que o compositor era o o autor de óperas mais executado nos EUA. Menotti, que também produziu espetáculos para a TV e compôs músicas para orquestras e balés (além de ter escrito os libretos de suas óperas), tornou-se cidadão dos EUA em 1984, embora desde muito antes já se apresentasse como "ítalo-americano".

Foi este também o Livro que deu origem ao filme de Sofia Coppola, que entrará em cartaz em São Paulo, SP no mês de Março.

MARIA CALLAS RICEVE IL PREMIO GRAMMY ALLA CARRIERA
LOS ANGELES (Reuters, 20 dicembre 2006) - I leggendari gruppi rock Grateful Dead e The Doors riceveranno un Grammy alla carriera nella cerimonia dell'anno prossimo, insieme con il sassofonista jazz Ornette Coleman e la cantante Maria Callas. Lo hanno fatto sapere ieri gli organizzatori.

Tra gli altri premiati ci saranno la cantante folk Joan Baez, i musicisti soul Booker T. & the MG's, e l'icona della musica country Bob Wills. Le statuette saranno consegnate a Los Angeles l'11 febbraio, durante la cerimonia di apertura dei Grammy Awards.

I premi onorari servono di solito a premiare quegli artisti che durante la loro carriera erano stati snobbati e non avevano vinto nessun premio.

L' unico artista che aveva vinto un Grammy durante la sua carriera è Booker T. con gli MG's, nel 1995. Il chitarrista del gruppo, Steve Cropper, aveva vinto un premio nel 1969 per aver scritto con Otis Redding il brano "(Sittin' on) The Dock of the Bay".

Coleman, 76 anni, aveva ricevuto solo una nomination Grammy per il suo primo album in 10 anni. Baez ha ricevuto sei nomination, ma non ha mai vinto.

Molti degli artisti premiati non potranno ricevere il premio. Jim Morrison morì nel 1971, il cantante dei Grateful Dead Jerry Garcia nel 1995, la Callas nel 1977 e Wills nel 1975. Ill batterista dei Booker T. & the MG's, fu ucciso da uno sconosciuto nella sua casa di Memphis nel 1975.

Tenor Salvatore Licitra sang his first-ever Canio in Leoncavallo's Pagliacci at the Met earlier this season. Now he notches another milestone, also taking on Turridu, the lead tenor role in Mascagni's Cavalleria Rusticana for the performance of the double-bill on Friday, January 26. Only five other artists in Met history -- Thomas Salignac, Frederick Jagel, Kurt Baum, Plácido Domingo, and Ermanno Mauro -- have sung both roles in a single performance. Licitra replaces Frank Porretta, who is ill.

Not many tenors these days excel in the full-bodied, lyric Puccini and Verdi repertory once owned by the likes of Carlo Bergonzi, Giuseppe Di Stefano and Luciano Pavarotti. The closest we have may be the Italian tenor Marcello Giordani, who took over the role of Rodolfo on Wednesday night for the first of four final performances in the Metropolitan Opera’s current revival of Puccini’s “Bohème.” His Mimi was the Chilean soprano Cristina Gallardo-Domâs, which united the stars of the Met’s acclaimed Anthony Minghella production of Puccini’s “Madama Butterfly.”

It was as Rodolfo that Mr. Giordani made his 1995 Met debut, and it is always rewarding to hear the role sung by a true Puccini tenor. Still, he has been branching out in recent years into weightier repertory, like Verdi’s Manrico and, at the Met, the hefty title role of Berlioz’s “Benvenuto Cellini.” While such choices testify to his adventurousness, they may explain why his Rodolfo seemed to have lost some of the velvety grace and glowing richness of earlier years. At times he ended melodic phrases abruptly and halted in his delivery. At his best Mr. Giordani can certainly invest a Puccini phrase with vibrant sound and soaring lyricism.

Ms. Gallardo-Domâs may not have a conventionally beautiful sound, and soft high singing does not come naturally to her. The earthy expressivity and subtle intensity of her singing, however, made her an affecting Mimi.

There were strong performances from the hearty baritone Dwayne Croft, a veteran Marcello; the bright-voiced soprano Ainhoa Arteta as Musetta; and the robust young baritone Aaron St. Clair Nicholson as Schaunard, the role of his Met debut last fall. The most complete vocal and dramatic portrayal came from the charismatic bass-baritone John Relyea as Colline. The bass Paul Plishka did double-duty as the hapless landlord Benoit and the wealthy Alcindoro. Carlo Rizzi was the very capable conductor.

Audiences still swoon when the curtain goes up on the bustling, two-tiered Café Momus set in Act II of Franco Zeffirelli’s extravagant and critic-proof 1981 production. This is one show the new general manager, Peter Gelb, will probably leave be.

“La Bohème” will be performed tomorrow at 8 p.m., Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. and Feb. 3 at 1:30 p.m. at the Metropolitan Opera House, Lincoln Center.

A Volta, um capitulo a parte .....

Desci no Terminal 4 do Aeroporto de Barajas , Madrid para pegar meu vôo da BRA de volta para o Brazil.
No terminal 4 foi onde aconteceu a explosão de um caro bomba no final do ano passado, aqui ainda dá pra ver o tamanho
do estrago.



Cheguei á meia noite, fui procurar um lugar pra ficar , num aeroporto quase que totalmente vazio ...



Eu a minhas malas... achamos uma cafeteria que ficava aberta 24 horas ! Ufa !!!!



O Vôo da BRA estava marcado para as 8h10, qual não foi o meu "desespero" quando vi que o vôo so sairia ás 15h30 !!!!!!!!!



E não tínhamos nenhuma informação, ninguém pra nos dizer nada e no painel também não tinha NADA !!!! Somente um provável horário (13h56) de saída, sendo que já era quase 15hoo !!



Estão vendo, quase 15h00 !!!



Depois de quase 15horas de aeroporto NINGUÉM aguentava mais !!!!



FINALMENTE ás 15 e alguma coisa chegou o bendito avião !!!
Embarcamos e fomos direto pra ... Lisboa, que era o destino final.
O avião estava HORRÍVEL, o povo que veio do Brasil estava tão ou mais cansado do que nós que estávamos em Madrid esperando horas e horas a fio. Depois descobrimos o que aconteceu. O avião veio do Rio para São Paulo, quando chegou em SP uma peça do motor quebrou e precisava ser trocada ( imaginem só a situação) , a peça não tinha em São Paulo, tiveram que mandar buscar no Rio. Depois que chegou, mais 3 horas pra trocar. Agora, como embarcar num avião que acabou de ser consertado !!!
Bom, até Madrid ele chegou ...



Chegamos em Lisboa, e... a equipe de limpeza veio ver o que conseguiria fazer com o avião mais sujo que já vi em minha vida !!!! Um horror !!!!!
Até a equipe ficou horrorizada, tanto que queriam que nos, que viríamos para o Brasil e permanecemos no avião, saíssems para que eles limpassem ... não saímos, é claro ! Ficamos lá morrendo de rir com o povo da limpeza que estava louco da vida por não poderem fazer a limpeza direito ...






Esses são meus companheiros de infortúnio aéreo, Fernando e Filipe (sentado) ... completamente tortos de tentar achar um banco no aeroporto para tentar descansar um pouco.



E as comissárias de bordo e op povo da limpeza tentando colocar o avião em ordem, o que estava evidentemente difícil ...



Bom, depois de mais de 40min ( na verdade acho que foi 1 hora) os demais passageiros embarcaram e FINALMENTE decolamos com destino ao Brasil varonil .... Bem , como eu havia saído de casa ( Paris) ás 19h30 no total foram 32 horas de viagem até chegar em São Paulo !!!! O vôo de volta até que foi bom, sem turbulências, mas se depender de mim, BRA nunca mais !!!

DE VOLTA DA CIDADE MAIS LINDA DO MUNDO !!! PARIS !!!!

Depois de maravilhosos 12 dias na casa de meu filho Marcelo, em Paris, estou de volta pra mais um ano revigorada !
